Student makes coffin posters to scare university thief

Large posters bearing pictures of coffins recently left Chuka University students speechless.

The posters were allegedly intended to warn a student – who had stolen a bag – of serious consequences if the stolen bag was not returned.

According to the posters, a mobile phone and a laptop were among the stolen items.

The writer who pointed out that he comes from a community that knows juju (black magic) told the thief to return his property or “prepare for the worst”.

Pastor's daughter thrown out of city pub after drinking too much...

A first year girl from University of Nairobi was thrown out of a bar after drinking too much and losing her head.

The female student is said to be a city pastor’s daughter. The girl who was taking the liquid for the first time turned chaotic after a few drinks. The incident occurred at a bar near KBC headquarters in the city. The pub is popular among campus students because of its half priced alcohol.

Students say Sh500 is enough to treat a small congregation at the pub. A Campus Vibe correspondent said that trouble started when the girl flirted with a military officer at the pub. A disagreement ensued forcing the girl to be thrown out. The boyfriend remained behind settling ‘wars’ with attendants.

Picture this. You are at the point of no return. The passion is top gear and the urge to let it ‘flow’ is killing both of you.

You are not sure if you should tell her you need to dash out and get some condoms.

Scared of her response, you decide to risk. She pushes you away, reaches for her handbag and voila… a packet of condoms.  Any man who has been in the above situation knows it can be such an awkward moment.

First thing that comes to mind? She is either a hooker or a ‘night nurse’!  For years, women who carry condoms have been labelled ‘easy’ or ‘loose’. 

But this is not the case. The modern woman is sexually liberated and knows what she wants. A woman who carries condoms is simply health conscious.

Women tend to engage in more sexual activities than men hence the need to be extra cautious.

Most times men forget to carry condoms, thus a woman who has some in her handbag will save the day.

Bet it’s because women are scared of contracting STDs and getting pregnant. No sober woman wants to get pregnant for a man whose second name she can’t remember!

TLC's Chilli slept with my husband..

Perri "Pebbles" Reid joined HuffPost Live Wednesday to tell her side of the story in the making of the iconic '90s girl group TLC.

Among the numerous "lies" she addressed, Pebbles, TLC's former manager, also revealed that she "absolutely" believes that Chilli slept with her husband, record executive L.A. Reid.

While conceding that she refused to believe it "for years" because she loved her husband, she told host Marc Lamont Hill, "I have my reasons [now] to say absolutely... I just know it. It happened... I saw some stuff, it goes deeper than that."

Since the release of VH1's biopic on TLC, "CrazySexyCool" in October, there's been much debate over the accuracy of the film, and in particular, how it portrays Pebbles.

The dating game has ‘universal rules’ that personally, I think they are ridiculous!

Before you get it twisted, walk with me through what goes on in a couple’s mind during the first date sex.

While most women believe in the 30 day to 3 month rule, others, well, argue if there is chemistry between two consenting adults, then all they need to remember is to have safe sex.

First date can be really great or awkward, depending on how things go down in between the sheets.

Great sex can lead to either a serious relationship or ‘friends with benefits’ connection, which works for both. Meanwhile, awkward sex can lead to ‘hit the road and never come back no more, no more!’

Most guys come from the school of thought that says, when a woman gives up the cookie on the first date, she is ‘loose’, ‘desperate’ or ‘a bitch’.

Recently, my girlfriend came over to my house and confessed to ‘never giving it up on the first date’.

Apparently, she believes a man must toil for 6 months before she agrees to hit the sheets. Most women I know are stuck up in this mentality.

My two-cents? “A man can break up with you after you give it up or even before you give it up.”

I do not support sleeping with every man, but it all boils down to what you are looking for in the relationship.

 There are those men whom you connect with immediately, others, you prefer to keep it the friendship energy while others, and a one-night stand will do. This is what matters.

Ladies, when you immediately rush into a physical relationship with someone, you cloud your judgment.

It may sound lame but creating that friendship bond is important especially if you see him a ‘hubby material’.

Knowing someone on a deeper level after first date sex is impossible.

Men are able to have first date sex and be applauded for it. Women have first date sex and are immediately judged in a negative light.

Notice how it’s only referred to as the “walk of shame” when a woman is coming home in the outfit she wore the previous night.  Bottom line is, if you are going to sleep with someone on the first date make sure you use protection and you are aware what you’re getting yourself into.
